The
Stagecoach Vineyard : Stagecoach Vineyard is a high mountain vineyard
located within the Atlas Peak appellation of Napa Valley. Our
vineyards lie at the 1700 feet and are southwest facing. At this
elevation, soils are rocky, shallow and limited and volcanic in
nature. The resulting wines from Stagecoach Vineyard come from small
berries packed with opulent flavors. The Vintage:
The 2005 vintage for Cabernet Sauvignon was more “old world” than
“new” owing to the cool conditions that prevailed throughout the
growing season. At Stagecoach Vineyard, this vintage produced world
class wines that possess the nuances of greatness with the defining
muscle of this world class mountain vineyard.
Winemaking:
Open Top Tanks with Punch Down Fermentation
26 days Skin Contact (4 days Cold Soak & 6 days heated post
fermentation maceration)
Yeast: L2226 (A Rhone Valley isolate)
24 months In Barrel
60% New French Oak Barrel
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting Notes: Lovely black purple in color. With aromas
of sweet cedar, tobacco, tar and deep black fruits, our Stagecoach
Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon’s aroma is deeply scented; rich and
full. On the palate, this wine is most pleasurable and elegantly
long with a sweet textured finish.
